Welcome to the Animal Service Project!

Our Mission: Helping People by Helping Animals

We believe that thriving communities begin with compassion for both people and animals.

Our mission is to create meaningful connections that uplift both, recognizing that human well-being, animal welfare, and environmental health are deeply connected. This belief reflects the principles of One Health, which emphasizes that the health of people, animals, and the planet are not separate, but part of one shared system.

Defining One Health, Created by Katelyn Santa Maria

Through strong community partnerships and dedicated volunteer efforts, we support a diverse range of animals, from beloved pets and farm animals to native urban wildlife. By working alongside nonprofit animal organizations, we help promote animal care, rehabilitation, education, and therapeutic engagement while strengthening the communities around them.

Whether we are supporting shelters, wildlife rehabilitation centers, sanctuaries, or human-animal connection programs, our work is rooted in the idea that caring for animals also means caring for people, ecosystems, and the broader community we all share.

At its heart, our work is rooted in One Health: the understanding that when animals are cared for, communities are strengthened, and the health of people, animals, and the planet can move forward together.
